Topic 1: The goal and concept of management
In the topic begins with explaining the goal of management that we examine the organizational performance and its measurement tools. The detail of tools is efficiency, effectiveness. Furthermore, the concept of management is also explained in this section.
Topic 2: Managerial tasks and roles
In the topic we distinguish among planning, organizing, leading, and controlling of human and other resources to achieve organizational goals efficiently and effectively. Moreover, Herry Mintzberg’s managerial roles are also identified in this topic.
Topic 3: Levels and skills of managers.
In this topic, we consider the differentiation of levels of management in the organization’s hierarchy of authority. The three levels of management are first-line managers, middle managers, and top managers. Moreover, we also identify three kinds of managerial skills. They are conceptual skills, human skills, and technical skills.
